Location Every musicing spot in Japan I can find. And looking for homestays for one night in each city!
Created By
Tim Janakos (ティム・ジャナコス)
After going to Nagaoka, Joetsu, Yuzawa (I really played at the Yuzawa Station just to get out of the rain, but I sold one CD) Nagano, Sendai, Yamaga, Kanazawa, Toyama, Fukushima, Koriyama Morioka, Matsumoto, Takasaki, Yamanashi, Iwaki and Mito, Timoty is now going back to Koriyama to stay at the house of the Superintendent of School, who is setting up a big concert for me on the 30th of this month.
This will be the last road tr...ip of my 90-day all Japan tour. I only hit all the big northern cities, but I will supend the tour until next spring when I start hitting more southern cities. Hopefully by then I'll have my new CD finished. !
Music Tour
The All Japan Music Tour has come to take me away (AGAIN)!!
I've been planning every summer for the 5 years that I've been in Japan to do an All Japan Music Tour, but somehow every summer for the past 4 years I've had to postpone it for one more year.
Now it is on; as my mentor wrote, "Your way forward cannot and will not be blocked."
I've been strapping my guitar on my back, jumping on my motorcycle and following the sun or the moon or whatever else comes a long to guide me.But after 2 too many motorcycle accidents, I've decided I'm going to play it safe and I'm going by car.
If any of you can think of places in Japan that I can play at (or stay at) let me know.
If anyone has any connections to radio station, new reporters, new paper writers, please tell them I'm open for interviews and in studio concerts, etc. Did an interview with an Asahi reporter in Akita after he bought my CD, also a NHK announcer in Toyama also bought my CD at the Toyama Station.
I'm promoting my first music video, Chasing Butterflies and I'm promoting my up coming CD, while selling all my old CDs for 1/2 price: JUST 1,000 yen.
I did pretty good in CD sales so far at all the train stations I've played at. The best so far have been Nagano, Matsumoto and Yamagata Stations, but Akita was a close 4th and may have been second if the Asahi Reported didn't stop me for an hour to do an interview during the prime selling hours (10PM to 11PM on Saturday night). Timotheus Giannakopoulos Takasaki was way too much like Tokyo, everyone is in too much of a hurry to listen to music, so I'm going to Yamanashi tonight! I did sell one CD and got a few hundren yen in tips. One of the top 3 worse Friday nights playing at a station. Too many people walking way to fast past me, almost running me over.
October 2 at 3:51pm ·
Timotheus Giannakopoulos Matsumoto was great. Made 8,000 yen on Friday night and about 6,000 yen on Saturday night. Just about paid for my trip and all my meals and parking and two toll road fees I wasn't event aware of.

Timotheus Giannakopoulos Had a great night playing in Matsumoto last night. I sold 8 CDs and got about 500 yen in tips. So this leg of the tour is now in the black and I'm going to stay one more night in Matsumoto to see if I can make more tonight, like I did in Nagano last time.

Timotheus Giannakopoulos So far the best stop was Yamagata. Not only did I sell 5 CDs and get about 20.00 in tips a lovely girl let me stay at her place so she could try to dress my motorcycle wounds. But then after leaving Yamagata to go back to Niigata I got in my Sendai Motorcycle accident (both for the same reason my front wheel locked u...p). So now the motorcycle is out of commission and my guitar is smashed, but it saved my life. When the wheel locked because the fender went loose and got caught in it, I went flying and did a rolling land on my back on my guitar and slip on it a while.
Timotheus Giannakopoulos I meant to write "Second Motorcycle Accident" not "Sendai Motorcycle Accident" but then the police in Sendai made me feel that it was a accident too.

Timotheus Giannakopoulos Thanks! If you have any connection still in Japan, just send them the link to this event and tell them I can come play in there city! I'm going to try to hit small cities on the backside of Japan first and save Osaka and Tokyo until the end of the 90 days.

Timotheus Giannakopoulos just set up my first place to perform in Joetsu on Saturday night. Looking forward to a very interesting weekend in Nagaoka, Joetsu and maybe Kashiwazaki.
